Fram Won

Mount Pleasant application......REFUSED

Fairfield Road application......REFUSED

Today we have seen a triumph for common sense. Our beloved Framlingham has been reprieved. The bulldozers will not be rolling over our greenfields just yet.......

Framlingham is not capable of sustaining housing developments on anything like the scale proposed by Persimmon and Taylor Wimpey.

Our roads couldn't cope. Our Doctors couldn't cope. Our schools couldn't cope.

That was your view. You made your opinions known. And TOGETHER we made sure our voices were heard. And today at Suffolk Coastal common sense prevailed and both individual proposals were booted out.

But are we complacent? No we are not.

This is just the beginning. The fight will continue to prevent Developer's greed from ruining our town.

Watch this space......

Please continue to help us make a difference.

Final Call

This is the Final Call for Decision Day

Monday 16 February is a huge day for the future of Framlingham. If these proposed planning applications are approved it will see our beautiful market town changed forever. Once these green field sites are built on, we can't get them back.

As a member of FRA
m we hope that you will be able to support our fight in person by joining us at the Council offices at 8.30am for 9.00am, Melton Hill, Woodbridge.

Let us know whether you can attend by emailing us at framresidents@gmail.com

Car Sharing
Please email us framresidents@gmail.com if you want a lift to the meeting, or can offer someone a lift and we'll put you in touch with each other.

Thank you
If you have already sent letters of objection, signed the Councillor's "I object" letter and signed the petition, or gone door to door. Thank you.

Please help us make a difference.

D DAY

Be there!

Decision Day is on Monday 16 February 2015, 9.00am at the Council offices on Melton Hill in Woodbridge.
Come and show how strongly you feel about the over development of Fram and the loss of our green fields.  Let us know whether you can attend by emailing us at framresidents@gmail.com

Car Sharing
Please email us framresidents@gmail.com if you want a lift to the meeting, or can offer someone a lift and we'll put you in touch with each other.

Sign the petition (if you haven't already)
There are four fantastic cafés in Framlingham that have copies of FRAm's petition "say NO to green field site developments"
- The Dancing Goat, Market Hill
- No 10 Tea Rooms, Market Hill
- The Common Room, Bridge Street
- Paddy & Scott's, Well's Close
Pop in, buy some tea (or coffee) and cake, but don't forget to sign the petition (please don't sign it twice - that's cheating).

Thank you
If you have already sent letters of objection, signed the Councillor's "I object" letter and signed the petition, or gone door to door. Thank you.

However, if you have not yet objected....
Mount Pleasant is still accepting comments from the public until this Friday so you can still send in a letter to the Planning Officer, you can print out your own from these links here.

Can You Help?

please can you help?

We were in Fram today camped outside the Unitarian Chapel and a lot of you dropped by to sign:
- the Mount Pleasant objection letter (140+)
- the District Councillor's 'I object' letter (200+)
- the petition (200+)

But we need more. Much, much more.
000s more names on the petition!

000s more Councillor's "I object" letters!
000s more members!

So are you willing to go door to door in your road?

If we each do a little it will soon add up to 000s.

Please email FRAm and let us know how many letters/petition forms you would like and which road/area you are going to be responsible for.
We can drop round the letters tomorrow and arrange to collect them from you on Thursday 12 February.

Alternatively you can print out your own from these links here.

Last Chance

...to have your say

On Monday 16 February 2015 the members of the planning committee responsible for Framlingham are making the decision on whether to grant planning permission to both the Fairfield Road and the Mount Pleasant green field site developments.

Mount Pleasant
Due to revisions to the plans, public consultation has been reopened on this planning application until 13 February 2015.
Currently there are only 19 public comments to this development on the planning portal!
We know for a fact that there are more than 19 people opposed to this development.
So write in and object by Friday 13 February 2015.
Please either write to the planning officer, using one of our eleven variations of "I object" letters, which you can download from this link here.
or email us for a set: framresidents@gmail.com
alternatively go to Suffolk Coastal's Planning Public Access website and log your objections there, this link will take you to website: http://planningpublicaccess.waveney.gov.uk/online-applications/
and search for DC/14/2276/FUL

Fairfield Road
Public consultation closed at the beginning of October for this planning application.
There were 73 public comments
to this development on the planning portal.
We also know for a fact that there are more than 73 people opposed to this development.
So if you haven't written to the Councillors who sit on the North Area Development Committee, now is the time to do it!
Come to think of it, even if you have written to them, write to them again.

Saturday 7 February 2015
To make things as quick and easy for you as possible, members of FRAm will be outside the Unitarian Chapel this Saturday, 7 February from 9.30am until 2.30pm ready with pen and pre-printed Councillor's letters that only require your signature, name and address.
We will also deliver the signed letters to the Councillors...you don't even need to stick a stamp on it!
If you can't make it into Fram on Saturday, you can download a copy of the Councillor's "I object" letter here.

Monday 16 February 2015 at 9.00am
FRAm will speak at the meeting of the North Area Development Committee on the behalf of the objectors.
We have only three minutes to put our case. AND only one objector can speak at this meeting. This is the protocol.

BUT we encourage you to attend the meeting and add 'your voice' to our objection with strength in numbers.
The meeting is in the Council Chamber, Suffolk Coastal District Council, Melton Hill, Woodbridge IP12 1AU - don't be late.
See you this Saturday....and if not... a week on Monday?
